Solution hints:
Each number you see at the top or left side of the grid represents the number of adjoining black squares within that row or column. Between the black blocks must be at least one white cell.
Look for the longest blocks first: any block that is longer than half of a row, will definitely have some black cells in the middle, no matter where it starts.
Then look for the rows or columns that contain only one painted cell and try to identify that cell.
When you definitely see that there are no more painted blocks in a row or column, mark all the free cells white.
